Harrison Junior Baseball is a community league which provides boys and girls an opportunity to play baseball.  Harrison Junior Baseball owns the complex where the boys and girls play making it convenient for parents. In order to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for parents and children, a lot of work is needed in the complex.  To do this, the league looks for parents to help volunteer to help the league defer costs and to provide a way for parents to get involved in the league.

To help out, there are four key ways where the league can use your help!  These are regarding maintenance projects, working in the concession stand, helping out with fundraisers, and assisting at special events.

Some maintenance projects are typically worked on when the baseball season is done but many are done throughout the season.  Some examples of the types of maintenance that we have worked on in the past are:

1.      Fixing Fences

2.      Planting grass and landscaping

3.      Maintenance to baseball and field maintenance equipment

4.      Painting buildings and fences

5.      Rain day field maintenance (help us get the games in)

6.      etc.

To help out in this area, please click contact us and send us an email or contact your manager/coach.

The second area is our main fund raiser the concession stand.  The league asks each team to take at least one night to work in the concession stand during their scheduled practice night.  Some teams may be asked to take a second night if there aren’t enough teams to cover every game night.  To help out in the concession on your team night, please contact your manager who will be looking for 4 to 6 volunteers.

The next area is fundraising.  If you are interested in helping out with fundraising,

Please send us an email or contact Jeff Guilfoyle 504-2906.

The last area is special events.  A couple of key events are the All Star Day and the HJB baseball tournament that is held for 9, 10, 11, and 12 year olds.  Dates and times are listed on web-site on when we need help.

The All Star Day has games, food, concessions, and many other things where volunteers can help on the day or the event and we also need help during set up the three days prior to the event.   To help out with the All Star Day, please contact your manager or email us with your availability.

For boys and girls who are interested in playing on a traveling tournament team, the league requires parents to help out in the concession during the HJB baseball tournament held at our complex, being that this is what makes it possible for us to fund such teams.  For more details on the tournament, please go to the tournament link for more information.

As other special events come up, this will be communicated to your manager.  Any help that you can provide on these other events is greatly appreciated!

We hope that you will consider how you may be able to help out Harrison Junior Baseball.  Our goal is to make the league fun and affordable for all, and we really need your help to make it a success.  Please consider how you can get involved, and we would like to thank you for your consideration in helping out!

If you have a special skill of trade such and plumber, electrician, mechanic, or carpenter please contact us so we may us you as a reference during projects or if you are able to offer us your assistance during projects.
